09 - Bubbles! (Champagne, Prosecco, California Sparkling)

Bottles of Bubbles

The birthday spluge train continues down the path this week as we celebrate Anne's annual aging ritual with Bubbles! We visit France, Italy and the USA to see how different countries tackle this most difficult of wines to produce.

Just how do they get the bubbles in there? What is this metal cage on the wine for? Why should you not refer to all sparkling wine as Champagne, lest you want to sound like a tool? Listen to find out on this weeks show!

Wines Reviewed:

Drappier: Champagne (France)

Adriano Adami: Prosecco (Italy)

Kenwood: California Sparkling (USA)
